About Osiris

Osiris is the oldest and most well-known of all the Egyptian dieties. He was the eldest son of the original Earth god Geb and records show that the Osirian cult was well-founded at the earliest point at which records were kept. The role of Osiris was as that of 'the redeemer' and 'merciful judge of the dead' in the afterlife. He was the wide of Isis, father of Horus and was closely connected to the Duat and to the underworld domain that granted all life.
